David Borinsky

Mr. Borinsky has over thirty years of experience, both as an attorney and as a principal, selecting, purchasing, financing, refinancing, managing, leasing and selling investment-grade real estate in the United States. He has spent his entire professional career making deals — negotiating with investors, builders, brokers, bankers and regulators.

Examples of deals that Mr. Borinsky has worked on include the following:

Placement of subordinate financing (including non-US-sourced funding) and admission of a pension fund investor in a high-rise office tower project in Chicago valued at $600 million

Acquisition of a portfolio of suburban office buildings adjacent to Interstate Route 95 near Baltimore and valued at approximately $20 million; financing consisted of so-called structured ‘conduit’ financing sourced on Wall Street

Contribution of a portfolio of apartment complexes located in the southeast and northeast U.S with a value in excess of $100 million, with the structure intended to facilitate the tax-advantaged admission of new owners.

Mr. Borinsky holds a university degree in economics and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He also holds a master’s degree in US taxation from New York University and a master’s degree in international taxation from the University of Leiden.
